Brief: Helping Nintendo Switch users discover quality games

Responsibilities: User Research, Design + Prototyping Project Context: UCSC MS-HCI, Fall 2024 Team: Keith, Noor, Aashi, Rishab

As a part of one of my core classes (Intro to HCI Research Methods) at UC Santa Cruz, students were divided into teams of 4 and tasked to work on a given problem statement and formulate an evidence-based design solution.

My group chose to work on the storefront (eShop) of the Nintendo Switch console, the best selling console of all-time, meant to help users discover and purchase games to play.

Problem

The Nintendo eShop is widely criticized for its poor usability and user experience. This frustration has many users to rely on third-party applications to discover and purchase games.
